The Goal
To handmake an outdoor knife that felt like an ergonomic extension of your hand while being rugged and tenacious in the field.
By designing and constructing a custom filing jig, the desired bevel was attained. And by subjecting the blade stock to precision heat treatment, followed by careful tempering, the blade's hardness and resilience were achieved.
